On May 19, 2023, SPCECC successfully completed the hoisting task of Asia's largest quenching water tower of the 1# 1.5 million tons/year ethylene plant of the largest ethylene project in China - Yulong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project (Phase I) .

The tower is 65 meters high, 16 meters in diameter, and has a hoisting weight of 2158 tons. In order to ensure the successful completion of the hoisting task, the hoisting team of the project carried out the overall hoisting after the equipment was transported to the hoisting site as a whole, and the attached tower pipeline, ladder platform, heat preservation and other work were completed on the ground. The machine-lifting-single-machine lifting method consists of a 4,000-ton crawler crane for main hoisting, and a 2,000-ton crawler crane for tail lift delivery. During the hoisting process, after the equipment was gradually lifted up from the horizontal position, the 4,000-ton crawler crane performed luffing, slewing and other actions to successfully place the equipment safely on the foundation.

It is reported that the 1# 1.5 million tons/year ethylene plant is currently the ethylene plant with the largest single production capacity under construction in China. The hoisting of the quenching water tower set a new record for the largest diameter of SPCECC tower equipment, and it is also the third large-scale equipment successfully completed by SPCECC Lifting Company in the 1# ethylene unit of Yulong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project (Phase I) Hoisting, the successful hoisting of this equipment demonstrates the hoisting strength and technical level of Shaanxi Chemical Construction.
