On June 13, 2023, the ecological protection and green development EOD project (Phase I) of the Yidu section of the Yangtze River was launched.

The EOD project for ecological protection and green development in the Yidu section of the Yangtze River (Phase I) consists of 18 sub projects. As a pilot EOD project approved by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, it is not only a practical measure to promote the comprehensive management and coordinated development strategy of the Hubei Province watershed, but also a strong support for building a modern new Yidu for common prosperity and beauty. Seven sub projects are planned to commence this time, including Shoujing City Square, Multifunctional Activity Center, Honghuatao Comprehensive Logistics Corridor, Honghuatao Logistics Terminal, Lucheng Comprehensive Logistics Corridor, Lucheng Comprehensive Logistics Park, and the new construction of the extension section of Xihu Avenue. The large investment volume, high technological content, and strong driving ability of the project will inject strong impetus into the high-quality development of Yidu.

The Yidu EOD project, as a pilot project approved by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment for the EOD model, is a practical measure to promote the comprehensive management and coordinated development strategy of Hubei Province's watershed, and also a strong support for building a modern new Yidu for common prosperity and beauty.
