On the morning of June 29, 2023, the China Mongolia Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum was successfully held in Beijing. Aoyun Erdeng, Prime Minister of Mongolia, made a keynote speech. Chen Chien-an, Vice President of CCPIT, presided over the event and delivered a welcome speech. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Huribart, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development of Mongolia, and Amurtubusin, President of the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

Chen Chien-an said that China and Mongolia are friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, good neighbors who keep watch and help each other, good partners with mutual benefit and win-win results, and good friends who often come and go. Both sides have their own advantages in industrial structure, resource endowment, and other aspects, with strong economic complementarity and huge potential for economic and trade cooperation. We hope that both sides can seize opportunities for development strategy docking, expand bilateral trade scale, and deepen cooperation in the field of investment. As a national trade and investment promotion agency, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade is willing to make greater contributions to promoting economic and trade exchanges between the two countries. We welcome Mongolia to attend the first China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo and other events.

Oyun Erden stated that China is an important leader and economic driver in the world, and Mongolia is willing to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with China on the basis of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. Mongolia welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and start business in Mongolia, and hopes to promote practical results in cooperation between the two sides in fields such as energy, technology, infrastructure, and green development as soon as possible.

Jin Liqun said that expanding cooperation areas and enriching cooperation content between China and Mongolia will not only help accelerate their respective economic and social development, but also benefit the economic development of the whole region. As a new type of multilateral development bank in the 21st century, the Asian Investment Bank will fully leverage its financing platform function, actively support cooperation between the business community of China and Mongolia, and promote diversified cooperation between the two countries.

Hurlebatel introduced the investment fields and policies of Geography of Mongolia in detail, and said that Mongolia is an ideal place for Chinese enterprises to carry out trade and investment because of its advantageous geographical location, rich natural resources, sound legal system and good credit rating. We look forward to strengthening communication between enterprises on both sides and reaching more cooperation intentions.

Amur Tubusin stated that this forum is an important economic and trade promotion activity during Prime Minister Oyun Erden's visit to China. Thank you to the China Council for International Trade for collaborating with Mongolia to build a high-quality exchange platform for entrepreneurs from both countries in the short term. China and Mongolia have broad cooperation space, and we hope that enterprises from both countries will continue to pay attention to trade diversification, continuously expand cooperation areas, and jointly innovate opportunities.

At the forum, the Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry of Mongolia, Zha Gangbal, and the Minister of Transport Development, Binbashaogete, delivered speeches during the special discussion segment. Representatives of over 300 Chinese enterprises from mining, construction, trade, tourism, transportation, animal husbandry, and more than 100 visiting Mongolian enterprises had one-on-one discussions. This forum was jointly hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It coincided with the birthday of Prime Minister Oyun'erden and further created a warm atmosphere of cooperation on site.
