Recently, the steel containment bottom head module of Unit 4 of the Haiyang Nuclear Power Phase II project was successfully lifted into position.
The lifting was carried out using a 3200 ton crawler crane, which took on the heavy responsibility. Since 8:27 am, the 3200 ton steel giant beast underwent a series of actions such as lifting, hovering, rotating, carrying load walking, falling, adjusting, etc. It took 1 hour and 32 minutes for this 660 ton bowl to be successfully placed in place. The entire process took the shortest time, the fastest hook removal, and 256 bolts were successfully installed at once, setting a record for the fastest lifting and installation construction of similar pile types.
The CV bottom head has the characteristics of large external dimensions and high lifting risk, making lifting quite difficult. To ensure the smooth completion of the lifting task, the 3200 ton crawler crane must undergo a rigorous physical examination by the project team before entering the lifting site. The maintenance and repair of the crane and all components must be thoroughly inspected, and only after there are no abnormalities can it be transferred to the lifting point according to the planned route within the specified time, making sufficient preparations for the subsequent lifting operation according to the plan.
The whole shell is an important building for isolating radioactive substances in nuclear power plants, and the last Safety barrier is composed of the inner steel sealed containment and the outer steel plate concrete shielding plant. Structurally, it consists of six modules: bottom head, first ring, second ring, third ring, fourth ring, and top head. Among them, the bottom head is located on the internal structural foundation, with a total lifting weight of over 700 tons.
This is the first large module hoisted in the nuclear island reactor building of Unit 4, marking the official start of the main structure of the plant and creating good conditions for the subsequent Critical path method construction in the nuclear island reactor building. Editor/Xie Li
