Recently, the world's first ± 1200 kV vehicle mounted automated DC withstand voltage test system developed by China Southern Power Grid Corporation was successfully put into use in a pure optical current transformer insulator DC withstand voltage test. This system can meet the DC withstand voltage test requirements of DC equipment with voltage levels of 800 kV and below in China, and can also be applied in the handover test of DC equipment in high-altitude converter stations, filling the technical gap in the field of high-voltage and high-capacity vehicle mounted DC test equipment in China.
It is understood that as a new type of technical equipment for measuring current, pure optical current transformers play an irreplaceable role in DC transmission engineering, and their reliability directly affects the safe and stable operation of the system. The main purpose of conducting DC withstand voltage tests on pure optical current transformer insulators is to assess the ability of the tested equipment to withstand overvoltage, identify insulation defects inside the insulators, and ensure that the pure optical current transformer meets operational requirements.
It is understood that the ± 1200 kV vehicle mounted automated DC withstand voltage test system was designed by Southern Power Grid Ultra High Voltage Transmission Company. Compared with the old system, this system integrates and upgrades traditional scattered DC withstand voltage test equipment, achieving automatic lifting and automatic discharge, eliminating the time-consuming, labor-intensive, and safety risk processes of traditional DC high-voltage generator loading, unloading, and lifting, Through wireless remote control operation, all preparation work for DC withstand voltage test can be quickly completed. The preparation time for a single test has been reduced from 7 hours to 10 minutes, which has achieved a disruptive improvement in work efficiency, safety, and other aspects. It is of great significance to ensure the smooth transmission of electricity from the west to the east of the Southern Power Grid, and to ensure the power supply of the five southern provinces and regions.
At the same time, the automatic discharge device configured in the automated DC withstand voltage test system can also automatically select the discharge resistance based on the residual charge of the test object, completely solving the problem of difficult and long discharge operation after the DC withstand voltage test of large capacity test objects.
