Some people in the United States have fabricated various fallacies, such as debt traps, geopolitical expansion, environmental damage and economic plunder, and made up a lot of jokes related to the Belt and Road. But in fact, these are all lies.

Belt and Road is not a debt trap. Several reports issued by authoritative institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have failed to link the Belt and Road Initiative to a debt trap. The Belt and Road does not engage in economic plunder. The Belt and Road is a truly open platform for international cooperation. It follows the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and works on the basis of voluntary participation and equal consultation.
