[Vestas wins 390MW offshore wind project in South Korea] At the end of last month, Danish wind turbine giant Vestas officially announced that the company has signed a preferential supply agreement with Hanwha Corporation E&C, a unit of South Korea's Hanwha Group. Under the agreement, Vestas will supply 390MW of wind turbines to the Shinan UI(Shinan Nuo Island) offshore wind power project, located in Sinan County, South Jeolla Province, southwest Korea, using 26 Vestas V236-15.0MW wind turbines, Vestas will provide operation and maintenance services for the wind power project for a period of 20 years. The project is being developed by Shinan UI Offshore Wind, a joint venture between Hanwha Corporation E&C, SK D&D, a subsidiary of SK Group, and KOEN(Korea Southeast Electric Power Company).
