Recently, the Anhui Jixi high-altitude wind power generation new technology demonstration project successfully generated electricity. This is China's first grid connected megawatt level high-altitude wind power demonstration project, with a total installed capacity of 2.4 megawatts. It can utilize high-altitude wind energy from 300 to 3000 meters for power generation. It is the first engineering practice of high-altitude wind power generation technology in China, and is of great significance for promoting the industrialization and development of high-altitude wind power generation technology.
It is understood that high-altitude wind power generation is an innovative technology that fully utilizes high-altitude wind resources. It uses a unique equipment combination to capture and absorb high-altitude wind energy, convert the captured wind energy into mechanical energy, and drive the generator set to rotate to achieve continuous and stable power generation. Compared to low altitude wind energy, high-altitude wind energy has advantages such as abundant wind energy reserves, high wind speed, and stable wind direction.
It is understood that the high-altitude wind power generation process is continuously stable, with high annual utilization hours, and is noise free and environmentally friendly.
China has a favorable environment for high-altitude wind power generation. Related studies have shown that the average wind energy density at an altitude of 6000 meters in China is more than 20 times that of surface wind energy density. According to relevant experts, a height of 10000 meters is the most ideal height for wind energy density, and it is also the future development direction of China's high-altitude wind power generation field.
