The Water Resources Department of Guizhou Province seized the policy opportunity of increasing the issuance of national debt and actively fought for water conservancy projects to be included in the scope of national debt support. At present, a total of 649 projects in the province have been supported by national debt funds totaling 18.22 billion yuan.

Since the launch of the declaration of national debt projects in September 2023, the Guizhou Provincial Water Resources Department has set up a special work team in time, and, together with the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Department of Finance and other departments, analyzed and judged each project by region and category, and completed the work of project planning, systematic filling, review and push, and reporting with high quality.

It is understood that the 649 projects involve the construction of new reservoirs and the reinforcement of dangerous reservoirs, river management, mountain flood ditch management, hydrological infrastructure construction, irrigation area construction and so on. Guizhou Provincial Water Resources Department will speed up the preliminary work of the project, do a good job of project implementation in a standardized and orderly manner, and ensure that the construction of new projects will start before June 30. At the same time, the Guizhou Water Resources Department will strengthen the supervision of funds, and effectively build various projects into popular projects, high-quality projects, and clean projects through specialized class scheduling, ledger management, and regular supervision.
