The first phase of the municipal and greening project in Colombo Port City, Sri Lanka has successfully completed the mechanical and electrical installation construction, which is invested by China Harbour and executed by China Communications Fourth Navigation Bureau, laying a solid foundation for the future construction and secondary land development of Colombo Port City.

The Colombo Port City Phase I Municipal and Greening Project, participated by China Communications Fourth Navigation Bureau, has a wide construction scope, including 5713 linear meters of comprehensive pipe gallery mechanical and electrical installation, 271 linear meters of 220KV pipe gallery construction, a total of 59000 meters of low-voltage cable laying, and 21000 meters of street light cable laying. In addition, the project also includes the construction of four major pumping stations for water supply, irrigation, and sewage, as well as public lighting projects for four highway bridges and one pedestrian bridge. Overall, the total length of cable laying is over 400000 meters, laying a solid foundation for the future development of Colombo Port City.

To ensure the efficient progress of the project, the project department has gathered about 350 professional installation personnel and equipped them with advanced lifting and transportation equipment. At the same time, the project department worked closely with 100 local employees and cooperating units, and after more than 300 days and nights of hard work, successfully completed the sub item work of mechanical and electrical installation. This work involves a large number of construction tasks and a wide range of work points, but the project department has successfully addressed all challenges with excellent safety management, quality control, and efficiency improvement measures, achieving the goals of zero accidents, high quality, and high efficiency.
