On March 6, 2024, the Three Gorges Energy Ningxia Jingyuan County Shared Energy Storage Project officially began construction. This is an important energy project, marking a solid step in the development of new energy in the region.

The Three Gorges Energy Ningxia Jingyuan County Shared Energy Storage Power Station Project is located on the northwest side of Liupan Village, Dawan Township, Jingyuan County, Guyuan City, Ningxia. It is adjacent to the China Energy Construction Energy Storage Power Station, with a planned total investment of 460 million yuan and will be constructed in two phases. The energy storage capacity for the first phase of construction is 100MW/200MWh, and the planned long-term expansion is 200MW/400MWh. The electrochemical energy storage battery for this project adopts lithium iron phosphate batteries, and is planned to be equipped with 30 prefabricated compartment type energy storage units of 3.35MW/6.709MWh. They will be connected to the newly built 110kV booster station through four 35kV collection lines, and will be connected to the Lvyuan 330KV substation through a single 110kV line. The project is planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of June 2024. After completion, the annual sales of electricity can reach over 10 million kilowatt hours, achieving a tax revenue of about 3 million yuan.

After the completion of the project, it will help promote the development of the local new energy industry, improve the optimization level of energy structure, and promote sustainable economic development.
