[Guangxi power grid hits 500 kV backbone network with 18 billion yuan] On June 11, 2026, the first fully assembled 500 kV substation in Guangxi started construction in Guigang, and the new technology of steel structure with prefabricated components was fully applied. This year marks the beginning of the 15th Five Year Plan. Southern Power Grid Guangxi Power Grid has invested over 18 billion yuan to promote 238 key projects. As of the end of May, over 3200 projects have started construction and 2652 have been put into operation, with a total investment of 8.694 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of nearly 50%.
