[The largest pumped storage power station in Northeast China has started construction] Recently, the main project of the Taizihe Pumped Storage Power Station, which China Energy Engineering Gezhouba Group participated in, has officially started construction. The three core control projects of the lower reservoir, underground powerhouse, and tailwater system have been simultaneously launched. The power station is located in Benxi, Liaoning Province, with a total installed capacity of 1.8 million kilowatts and an annual power generation of 3.614 billion kilowatt hours. It is one of the largest pumped storage power stations in Northeast China and a key project of the 14th Five Year Plan of the National Energy Administration. After completion, it will undertake tasks such as peak shaving, valley filling, energy storage, and frequency regulation, providing strong support for the development of new energy in Liaoning and the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
