[The tenth ultra-high voltage project in Inner Mongolia has started construction] On June 18, 2026, the tenth ultra-high voltage project in Inner Mongolia, the 1000 kV Dalat Mengxi AC transmission and transformation project, officially started construction in Zhungeer Banner, Ordos. The total investment of this project is 4.246 billion yuan, which will build one new ultra-high voltage substation, 2 × 124.4 kilometers of transmission lines, and 393 iron towers. The project is the first approved project in the two-point three channel extension of the North China ultra-high voltage power grid to the Mengxi power grid. After completion, it will support the safe and stable transmission of the ± 800 kV Mengxi Beijing Tianjin Hebei ultra-high voltage direct current project. Editor/Cheng Liting
