A reporter from Seedao.com learned from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province that the "Work Plan for Accelerating 5G Network Construction and Industrial Development in Henan Province in 2023" (hereinafter referred to as the "Work Plan") has been released. In 2023, we will promote the integrated application of 5G in key areas, and create new models, new formats, and new scenarios for 5G integrated applications.

The "Work Plan" proposes that by the end of 2023, the coverage rate of key 5G network scenarios, hotspot areas, and rural hotspots will reach 100%, and the coverage rate of administrative villages in the province will exceed 90%; The annual investment in provincial 5G projects exceeds 20 billion yuan, and 3-5 provincial-level 5G industrial parks will be cultivated; continue to implement 5G fusion application projects, focus on key industries, and select more than 30 demonstration projects of 5G application scenarios.

Optimize infrastructure construction

The "Work Plan" proposes to improve the construction of network infrastructure. Build a 5G high-quality network, increase investment in 5G infrastructure construction, and the total number of 5G base stations in the province has exceeded 180,000. Build a gigabit network demonstration province, and improve gigabit optical network coverage in key places such as small and medium-sized enterprises, community families, and commercial buildings. Accelerate the development of 5G industry

The "Work Plan" proposes to strengthen the smart terminal industry. Strengthen investment promotion, relying on Zhengzhou Airport Smart Terminal (Mobile Phone) Industrial Park and other parks, introduce and cultivate a number of 5G smart terminal leading enterprises such as smartphones, tablet computers, AR/VR headsets, 5G panoramic cameras, and new wearable devices. Improve the supporting capabilities of smart terminal parts and components. Build a world-class 5G smart terminal manufacturing cluster.

Expand the key components industry. Promote the localization of R&D and production of 5G key components, and accelerate the construction of the pilot test base for photonic integrated chips in Henan Province in Hebi and the pilot test base for microelectronics in Henan Province in Xinxiang. Strengthen the 5G core component industry chain, and promote the expansion of Hebi, Xinxiang, Jiaozuo, Sanmenxia and other places with 5G chips, AWG (arrayed waveguide grating), WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) devices, optical communication isolators, In the optical communication industry with key products such as fiber optic cable and communication modules, accelerate the research and industrialization of the AVIC Optoelectronic Technology Industrial Base Project (Phase II), and the NB-IoT/5G communication module research and industrialization of the 22nd Institute of China Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. Encourage all localities to rely on the existing industrial base to extend the chain and supplement the chain, improve the overall supporting capabilities of the industry, and introduce and cultivate a group of 5G network equipment manufacturers.

Do a good job in the basic material industry. Create an intelligent terminal supporting material industrial park, and promote the development of advanced functional materials for intelligent terminals such as optoelectronic flexible films, new optoelectronic display cover glass, and optoelectronic material intermediates in Luoyang, Anyang, Nanyang, and Shangqiu. Create a basic electronic material industrial park for 5G.

Develop 5G-related industries. Promote the integration and application of 5G and UAV industry, promote the demonstration experiment project of 5G low-altitude intelligent networking in Anyang and other places, and promote the construction of projects such as the Anyang unmanned aviation test area of the Civil Aviation Administration and China Unicom's 5G ubiquitous low-altitude flight test base. Promote the integration and application of 5G and Beidou satellite industry. Promote the integration and application of 5G and smart home. Carry out the construction of 5G industrial parks, guide the agglomeration and development of 5G industries in various places, and cultivate and build the first batch of 3-5 provincial-level 5G industrial parks.

Deepen industrial exchanges and cooperation.
