On April 26, 2023, the Inner Mongolia section of the Bahrain-Naiman-Fuxin 500 kV power transmission and transformation project connecting Inner Mongolia and Liaoning officially started.
Bahrain-Naiman-Fuxin 500 kV Power Transmission and Transformation Project
According to reports, the project started from the 500 kV substation in Bahrain, passed through the 500 kV substation in Naiman Sands, and ended in the 500 kV substation in Fuxin. It passed through Chifeng City and Tongliao City in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Fuxin City in Liaoning Province. The whole line is erected according to two parallel single circuits, with a line length of about 718.3 kilometers. Among them, the line length of the Inner Mongolia section is 546.78 kilometers, and the line length of the Liaoning section is 171.51 kilometers. The total investment is 2.345 billion yuan. It is expected to be ready for operation by the end of 2023.
After the project is put into operation, the formation of an ultra-high-voltage integrated power grid in eastern Mongolia will be accelerated, and the wind and fire transmission channel in Chifeng area will be strengthened. It can transmit about 10 billion kwh of electricity to the northeast area every year, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 4 million ordinary households. total amount. The project can improve the mutual aid of power surplus and shortage, space-time complementarity, and multi-energy interchangeability, realize the optimal allocation of power resources in a wider range, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
At the same time, after the project is put into operation, it can replace 3.3 million tons of coal consumption per year, improve the capacity of new energy consumption, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 7.8 million tons, effectively promoting the economic and social development of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Liaoning Province. It is of great significance to complement resources and help the revitalization of Northeast China. Editor/He Yuting
