On December 2, 2023, the new affordable housing project in Meilong Town, Minhang District, Shanghai has officially started construction. This project is a municipal affordable housing project.

The Meilong New Site Selection Base 02-16B-09 plot project extends to the 02-16B-10 plot in the east, to Shuangbai Road in the south, to the planned road (Chengxue Road) in the west, and to Caojian Road in the north.

The project covers an area of approximately 46000 square meters, with a total construction area of approximately 173000 square meters. It plans to accommodate 1646 households with a total investment of approximately 1.68 billion yuan. The project officially started construction on November 28, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.

It is reported that this project is an important measure for Minhang District to actively respond to the call of the Municipal Party Committee and Government, improve the housing security system, and is also a practical achievement of theme education.

In 2023, the Office for Promoting the Construction of Large Residential Communities in Minhang District required the completion of two new affordable housing projects, approximately 250000 square meters, accounting for 25% of the city's new construction tasks. Recently, both projects have obtained construction permits, marking the early completion of annual work.

The commencement of this municipal affordable housing project demonstrates that the achievements of theme education are tangible and tangible.
