On December 26, 2023, the construction of the Central China Regional Emergency Material Supply Chain and Distribution Center project began in Ezhou. After completion, the project will comprehensively enhance the emergency material equipment support capabilities of Hubei and even the Central China region.
The project is located in the Linkong Economic Zone of Ezhou City, about 2 kilometers away from Ezhou Huahu Airport. The total investment is about 317 million yuan, and the project construction period is 2 years. Jimu News reporters saw on site that the project land has been leveled and large machinery and equipment have entered the site.
The person in charge of the Emergency Management Department of Hubei Province introduced that the project mainly constructs "three centers and one platform", namely: emergency material reserve center, high-end emergency equipment distribution center, emergency material supply chain center, and emergency material donation management platform. Specifically, it is "three warehouses, one building, one storage yard and one refuge place". The warehouse is mainly used for emergency supplies storage and high-end emergency equipment storage display. The supply chain complex building is used for emergency supplies scheduling, emergency knowledge education and emergency skills training. The storage yard is used for temporary storage, transfer and disinfection and sterilization of emergency supplies. The refuge place is used for peacetime training and wartime emergency.
As the first major emergency management project in Hubei, after completion, the project will achieve unified management, allocation, and distribution of important emergency materials and high-end emergency equipment, and achieve full coverage and dynamic management of the entire supply and marketing enterprise of emergency materials through "physical reserves+production capacity reserves+agreement reserves".
