Recently, the water transmission and power generation system as well as the lower reservoir project of the Gongshang Pumped Storage Power Station in Linzhou have officially started. As an important energy project of the country, the construction of this power station is of great significance in ensuring national energy security, promoting the development of new energy, optimizing energy structure, and improving the ecological environment.

Installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts

The Gongshang Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Hejian Town, Linzhou City, Henan Province. The total investment of the project is 8.6 billion yuan, with an installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts. After completion and operation, the annual power generation will be 1.559 billion kilowatt hours, and it can save 403000 tons of standard coal annually. This project is a key implementation project of the 14th Five Year Plan for pumped storage in China, as well as a key construction project in Henan Province and a major demonstration project, ecological project, and livelihood project in Linzhou City. After the completion of the project, it will enhance the peak shaving capacity of the Henan power grid, which is of great significance for optimizing the power supply structure, improving the flexibility of power grid operation, ensuring safe and stable power supply, and promoting local economic construction.

The commencement of this project not only demonstrates a firm investment in the field of clean energy, but also opens up new paths for local economic and social development.
