On February 27, Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission officially approved the application for approval of Jiangxi Xunwu pumped storage power Station project, marking that this clean energy project has officially entered the implementation stage.

The project is located in Sanbiao Township and Guizhumao Town, Xunwu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, with a superior geographical location and a surrounding environment suitable for the construction of pumped storage power stations. According to the approval document, the total installed capacity of the project will reach 1.2 million kilowatts, and it is planned to install four single-stage vertical shaft mixed-flow reversible pump turbine generating units with a capacity of 300,000 kilowatts. This design not only ensures efficient operation of the plant, but also provides a reliable power supply to the local area.

In order to meet the operation needs of the power station, the project will build key buildings such as upper reservoir, lower reservoir, water transmission system, power plant and switching station, and construct corresponding auxiliary projects. The construction of these facilities will ensure the stable operation of the power station and provide stable and reliable power support for the surrounding areas.

It is understood that the total investment of the project reached 7.95 billion yuan, of which the project capital was 1.59 billion yuan, accounting for 20% of the total investment. This funding structure will ensure the smooth progress of the project and provide a solid financial foundation for future operations.

In terms of shareholder composition, China Three Gorges Construction (Group) Co., Ltd. will become the largest shareholder of the project, with a stake of 51 percent. Xuanwu County Chengdian Photovoltaic Energy Co., LTD., China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. and China Anneng Group First Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. will also hold 30%, 16% and 3% of the shares, respectively. This shareholder structure reflects the diversified investment and cooperation of the project, which will provide a strong guarantee for the smooth implementation and future operation of the project.
