On March 6, 2024, the winning bidder for the first section of the comprehensive development project of the Suzhou West Station area in Anhui Province was determined. The winning bidder was China Railway 24th Bureau, China Railway 24th Bureau Suzhou Engineering Co., Ltd., and China Railway Shanghai Design Institute Group consortium.

The construction site is located on the North West Station Connection Line and Hengwu Road of the project; South to Zhanqian Road and West Extension of Industrial Avenue; West to Hengyi Road, east to Zhuyi Road, Zhujiu Road, Zhushisan Road, and Sumeng Highway.

The project construction includes landscape greening engineering, station square, municipal roads and supporting pipeline networks, primary and secondary schools, etc. The estimated total investment of the project is about 3.146 billion yuan, of which the engineering cost is about 2.168 billion yuan.

Planned duration: The cooperation period is tentatively set at 5 years, with the West Extension Project of Industrial Avenue in the Economic Development Zone and the construction period of the Suzhou West Station Connection Line of the Huai Su Beng Intercity Railway not exceeding 2 years.

With the gradual implementation of the planning for the West Station area, new urban functional areas and economic development centers will be formed, injecting new vitality into the overall development of Suzhou City. Editor/Zhao E
