Installed capacity 1200MW

Project construction location: Chenxi Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Chenxi County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province, with a straight-line distance of about 60km from Huaihua City and about 260km from Changsha City.

Project construction scale: The Chenxi Pumped Storage Power Station in Hunan Province has an installed capacity of 1200MW and is equipped with four reversible hydroelectric generator units with a single unit capacity of 300000 kW. It is a first-class (1) type project. The designed annual power generation of the power station is 1.277 billion kWh, with an annual pumping capacity of 1.703 billion kWh. The annual power generation utilization hours are 1064 hours, and the annual pumping utilization hours are 1419 hours. The power station is planned to be connected to the Huaihua North 500kV substation, with a straight-line distance of approximately 18km. After the completion of the power station, it is mainly responsible for peak shaving, valley filling, energy storage, frequency regulation, phase modulation, energy storage, and emergency backup of the Hunan power grid.
