On June 17, 2026, Feruza Hamidova, the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan, met with the visiting team of CGNPC Uranium Resources Co., Ltd. and held discussions and exchanges on potential cooperation opportunities in the mining industry. The visiting team is led by Qiu Bin, General Manager of CGNPC Uranium Resources Co., Ltd.

Exploring new cooperation space in the uranium industry together

Hamidova welcomed the visit of the Chinese delegation and fully recognized China General Nuclear Power Group's active participation in the Tashkent Investment Forum. She stated that this event serves as a high-quality platform for Uzbekistan's mining industry to connect and expand its commercial channels, and to seek high-quality strategic partners.

The Chinese delegation introduced that during the previous Tashkent International Investment Forum, the company had already started business docking with the Ukrainian side, and had held talks with the Minister of Mining and Geology of Ukraine, Bobyl Islamov, and the management team of the local state-owned uranium mining enterprise Navoiyuran. The early docking achieved good results. Both parties have agreed to work together to explore cooperation opportunities in uranium resources and mining related industries in the future.

Building a solid foundation for domestic nuclear fuel supply
