Recently, according to the official news of Zhangye Municipal Government, the development project of No. 1 Coal Mine in Pingshanhu Coalfield in Zhangye has successfully obtained the approval of the National Energy Administration and is about to start construction in an all-round way.

The Pingshanhu No.1 Mine Development Project is a key project in the construction of the Zhangye Pingshanhu Comprehensive Energy Base Project. It plans to invest approximately 2.8 billion yuan to construct a coal development project with a total scale of 2.4 million tons per year, in accordance with the standards of green mines, intelligent mines, and zero carbon smart parks, and to build auxiliary facilities such as coal washing plants. The project has a construction period of 36 months and is planned to be completed and put into operation in the first half of 2026. At that time, it can achieve an annual sales revenue of 1.2 billion yuan, a profit of 370 million yuan, and a tax of 94 million yuan.

The planned area of Pingshan Lake Comprehensive Energy Base in Zhangye is 810.68 square kilometers. It is a key project of Zhangye City and Ganzhou District to implement the province's planning and layout of building the Hexi Corridor Economic Belt focusing on clean energy and new materials, with a total estimated investment of 155.8 billion yuan. The completion of the project will inject new momentum into the construction of new energy industrial clusters in Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, and provide new support for promoting the high-quality development of local economic and social green transformation.
