On July 12, 2023, the Kenli 6-1 oilfield group, a billion ton oilfield group in the Bohai Sea, achieved full production, with a daily crude oil output exceeding 8000 tons, marking China's successful mastery of the non integrated large-scale oilfield development technology system, which is of great significance for further enhancing the national energy security guarantee capacity. The Kenli 6-1 oilfield group is located in the southern sea area of the Bohai Sea, with a proven geological oil reserve of over 100 million tons. It is the first large-scale lithologic oil field with a capacity of 100 million tons discovered during shallow exploration in the Laibei low uplift of the Bohai Sea in China. The development of the oilfield group mainly includes 5 blocks, consisting of 1 central processing platform and 9 unmanned wellhead platforms. It is the most intelligent wellhead platform development project in China's offshore so far.

The Kenli 6-1 oilfield group has large reserves, but the oil layers are thin, widely distributed, and low in abundance, making it economically inefficient to develop using traditional methods. Therefore, the project adopts a development approach that relies on surrounding oil fields and intelligent unmanned platforms, saving investment costs by about 20%. It only took two years from design to production, setting a record for the development of a billion ton oilfield in the Bohai Oilfield. As the first large-scale application of intelligent linkage integration in the development of a billion ton offshore oil field in China, the Kenli 6-1 oilfield group wellhead platform adopts intelligent and unmanned design, and all 177 wells are remotely controlled on unmanned platforms.

Through a comprehensive automated monitoring and early warning system, all equipment of the unmanned platform can be remotely monitored, and intelligent analysis and dynamic evaluation of the collected production data can be carried out simultaneously. Timely early warning intervention can be achieved for abnormal operating parameters, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the unmanned platform.
