On July 18, 2023, the reporter from Daonet learned from Yantai Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau that as of the beginning of July, 50 new municipal roads and 11 T-shaped roads and dead end roads had been constructed in the city.

Despite the scorching heat, the construction site of the East Extension Project of Wolong North Road is still hotter than the temperature. Sun Zhanhong, a staff member of the Zhifu District Government Investment Project Construction Service Center, said that the east extension of Wolong North Road was originally a "dead end road", an important urban secondary trunk road connecting Shengli South Road and Tongshi South Road, which will effectively relieve traffic pressure.

The East Extension Project of Wolong North Road has a total length of over 680 meters and a planned red line width of 25 meters. The project includes road construction, underground pipeline network renovation, sidewalk renovation, lighting, and greening projects. The carriageway will be renovated according to the design standard of "three layers of water stabilized gravel base+two layers of asphalt concrete surface" to comprehensively improve the smoothness and comfort of the road surface. According to the construction plan, after the carriageway passes, the construction party will accelerate the renovation of the sidewalk, replace the sidewalk board, and lay new permeable bricks with better water permeability and anti slip performance. It is planned to complete all works by the end of July.
