Recently, Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant Phase II project has received approval from the State Council for sea use, with the approved sea area being approximately 73 hectares. This news has attracted widespread attention because it will inject new impetus into the overall advancement of the Zhangzhou nuclear power project.

It is understood that the Zhangzhou nuclear power project is divided into two phases of construction, of which the first phase (units 1 and 2) has been completed and put into operation. The project's sea area is approximately 743 hectares, and the sea area approved this time is for the second phase of the project (Units 3 and 4), with the approved sea area being approximately 73 hectares. Among them, the sea area used during the operation period is approximately 69 hectares, and the sea area used during the construction period is approximately 4 hectares.

The successful approval of the second phase of the Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant will provide a strong guarantee for the construction of the project and will also effectively promote the overall implementation progress of the project. As one of the city's key projects, the Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Project is very eye-catching in terms of its construction scale and investment amount. The project plans to build eight million-kilowatt nuclear power units with a total investment of more than 110 billion yuan. Among them, 6 units have been included in the national nuclear power development plan.
