In 2023, the Philippines' Puya durian debuted at the Expo, attracting a lot of attention. In order to learn more about the opportunities for cooperation between China and the Philippines, the reporter interviewed ANA ABEJUELA, Agricultural Counselor of the Philippine Embassy in China.
Ms. Anna is full of confidence in the prospects of China-Philippines cooperation. She believes that the construction of a new logistics channel on the Eurasian continent is not only of great significance to the connectivity of the Philippines, an archipelago country, but also helps the Philippines further explore the European and Central Asian markets. Through this new logistics channel, the specialty products of the Philippines can more easily enter the global market and improve its international competitiveness.
She stressed that China and the Philippines should continue to expand opening-up, strengthen cooperation and share development opportunities. By working together, the two countries can achieve mutual benefit and win-win results and promote common development. At the same time, she also hopes that China and the Philippines can carry out more cooperation in other fields and jointly promote the comprehensive upgrading of bilateral relations.
Ms. Anna highly appreciated the appearance of Puya durian at the CIIE. She believes that this is a model of agricultural cooperation between China and the Philippines, which will help promote the development and export of Philippine agriculture. At the same time, she also looks forward to more Philippine products entering the Chinese market in the future to meet the diversified needs of Chinese consumers. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
