On January 19, 2024, Electric Power Construction Municipal Company signed a contract with the owner of the Samarkand Kanobu Tin Mine project in Uzbekistan.

The project is located 2 kilometers northeast of Kanob Town in Samarkand Oblast, Uzbekistan, approximately 352 kilometers from the capital city of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. The tin ore reserve of this project is about 20000 tons, and the main engineering content includes supplementary exploration, mining planning, design, mining and stripping, transportation, mining power supply, and the construction of supporting facilities such as office buildings and dormitories.

After the project is invested, it is expected that the annual ore extraction will be about 74100 cubic meters, which will supply a large amount of high-quality tin ore to the Uzbekistan market, drive a large number of employment opportunities for surrounding residents, and also expand the influence and reputation of the enterprise brand in the mining industry.
