China and Uzbekistan maintain close exchanges and cooperation in political, economic, and cultural fields. On January 23, 2024, at the opening of China's "Uzbek Culture Day", Uzbek Minister of Culture Nazarbekov said in an interview that under the the Belt and Road Initiative, Uzbekistan and China are increasingly close. Currently, Uzbekistan is implementing the "Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy" plan, which will carry out a series of cultural exchange activities with China.
According to Nazarbekov, under the the Belt and Road Initiative, Uzbekistan invited a large number of outstanding Chinese artists to give wonderful performances to the Uzbek people when it held a special performance of the "Chinese Culture Day". At the Uzbekistan Cultural Day held in China, artists from Uzbekistan also presented an authentic Uzbekistan themed performance. Nazarbekov believes that with the continuous deepening of cultural exchanges, it will further promote the mutual understanding between the two peoples.
From January 23 to 25, 2024, Uzbek President Mirziyoyev paid a state visit to China. Nazarbekov stated that the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is steadily growing, and he believes that this President's visit to China will definitely promote the improvement and upgrading of bilateral relations.
