Saudi Eastern Cement Company and Chengdu Construction Materials Industrial Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Chemical Corporation, have collaborated to successfully sign the EPC general contract for Saudi Eastern Cement Company's 5-line daily production of 10000 tons of clinker cement production line. According to the contract, Chengdu Building Materials Industry Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. will expand a daily output of 10000 tons of clinker production line in the existing factory area of Saudi Oriental Cement Company, and build a supporting cement grinding station with an annual output of 1.6 million tons. During the implementation of the project, some production facilities will be fully utilized for renovation to save costs and improve efficiency. The contract also covers comprehensive work such as engineering design, equipment and material procurement and transportation, civil construction and equipment installation, commissioning, and technical services, ensuring the smooth progress and high-quality completion of the project.

The project is located in the Khursaniyah region in eastern Saudi Arabia, with a superior geographical location, which will provide strong support for the development of Saudi Eastern Cement Company. The contract shall come into effect upon signing, and is expected to commence production of the first batch of clinker within 21.5 months from the receipt of the advance payment. The temporary acceptance shall be completed within 26 months.
