On the morning of March 6, 2024, Guangfo (Fogang) Industrial Park, as an important part of the Guangqing Special Economic Cooperation Zone, successfully held the signing and groundbreaking ceremony of major projects in the first quarter of 2024.

A group of officials, including Deng Yaoxiong, head of Qingyuan Support Work in Guangzhou, Chen Liangguo, senior researcher of Guangzhou Development Zone, Lin Wuyang, main leader of Guangfo (Fogang) Industrial Park, and Wang Shu, deputy head of Fogang County and Ye Rongsheng, participated in the event together with representatives of relevant units and more than 60 enterprises in Qingyuan City, Huangpu District and Fogang County.

The centralized signing and groundbreaking ceremony of 30 projects were held on the scene, which widely involved biomedical, polymer new materials, high-end intelligent equipment manufacturing, beauty makeup and other fields, showing the characteristics of high-tech, efficient and high-quality new quality productivity. It is estimated that the total investment of these projects will reach 3 billion yuan, the estimated output value will exceed 6 billion yuan, and it is expected to create more than 200 million yuan in tax contributions.

Lin Wuyang pointed out that up to now, Guangfo (Fogang) Industrial Park has successfully attracted 127 projects, with a total investment of nearly 27.3 billion yuan, the total output is expected to exceed 52 billion yuan, and the local tax contribution of about 2.6 billion yuan. The park has now formed four strategic emerging industrial clusters of biomedicine, new materials, beauty cosmetics and high-end equipment manufacturing. The centralized signing and commencement of this major project will bring new strong growth momentum to the social economy of the park, and once again stimulate a new round of upsurge in the construction of the Guangfo Garden project.

Deng Yaoxiong stressed that Guangfo (Fogang) Industrial Park, as an important part of the Guangqing Special Economic Cooperation Zone, shoulders the mission of realizing the "six new" goals, and the park should closely integrate the construction plan of the cooperation zone, strengthen the in-depth cooperation and resource sharing with Fogang County, and further stimulate the development potential of the park.
