On March 13, 2024, the Jingao Baotou 300MW green power supply project was approved, which means that China has taken a solid step in the development and utilization of renewable energy, further increasing the proportion of new energy in the energy structure, and helping to achieve optimization and transformation of the energy structure.

The investment entities of this project are JA Solar Energy Investment (China) Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Branch of China Electric Power Construction New Energy Group Co., Ltd., and Inner Mongolia Mingsheng Jiaotou New Energy Co., Ltd., with the type of industrial park green power supply project.

The newly added load of the 300MW green power supply project in Jingao Baotou is 26GW of pulling crystals, 20GW of slicing, and 5GW of component production projects, with a total electricity load of about 250000 kilowatts and an annual electricity consumption of about 2.07 billion kilowatt hours. 300000 kilowatts of market-oriented grid connected new energy will be built, including 240000 kilowatts of wind power and 60000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power. The scale of electrochemical energy storage will be 45000 kilowatts/18000 kilowatt hours (15%/4 hours). This means that the project will significantly increase the proportion of renewable energy in the energy structure, help reduce dependence on fossil fuels, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and thus address climate change and environmental issues.

By constructing market-oriented grid connected new energy and electrochemical energy storage facilities, the project will improve the flexibility and stability of the power system, promote efficient energy utilization and optimized configuration.
