On the morning of March 15, 2024, in the motor warehouse of the Hanlian Flower Service Area on the Biwei Expressway, as the staff pressed the start button, the first batch of photovoltaic units in the first phase of the distributed photovoltaic project on this section were successfully connected to the grid for power generation.
It is understood that this project is the first photovoltaic project of Guizhou Expressway Group, with an average annual power generation of 5.83 million kilowatt hours, which is equivalent to saving 18000 tons of standard coal per year, reducing 11700 tons of smoke and dust emissions, and 4900 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. It is an important measure for Guizhou Expressway Group to actively implement the national "dual carbon" strategy and promote cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
The project is divided into two phases, with a total built-up area of about 2400 acres and a total installed capacity of about 91MW. It mainly utilizes areas such as interchanges, toll stations, service areas, parking areas, and slopes along the Biwei Expressway to build distributed photovoltaic power stations. This not only effectively mobilizes idle resources on the Biwei Expressway, but also solves bottleneck problems such as implementing energy storage and grid connection for photovoltaic projects on highways.
After all the Luyan distributed photovoltaic projects are put into use, they can save at least 500000 yuan in costs annually. At present, the photovoltaic project of the Biwei Expressway Dry Lotus Service Area has achieved spontaneous self use, solving the problem that the Dry Lotus Service Area has always relied on traditional power supply.
