On March 11, 2024, the construction of the HTGJ-3 section of the G30 Lianhuo Expressway from Hami to Tuyugou began. On March 13th, the main line of the G30 Lianhuo Expressway HTGJ-3 project also ushered in a grand moment of official commencement of construction.

The Three Public Works Bureau bears the responsibility of undertaking the construction of the third contract section of the reconstruction and expansion project of the Hami Tuyugou section of the G30 Lianhuo Expressway. This section of the project is located in the vast Hami Basin, like a giant dragon crossing the middle and lower parts of the inclined alluvial plain in front of the mountain. The terrain slopes slowly from northeast to southwest, showcasing the grandeur and mystery of nature. The contract amount is as high as 733 million yuan, with a total length of 29 kilometers. From the beginning of the design, it has carried the important task of improving transportation efficiency and promoting regional development. The renovated and expanded road will be widened from the original two-way four lane to eight lane, with a design speed of up to 120 kilometers per hour, greatly improving the road capacity and bringing a faster and more comfortable travel experience for people.

The existing road meanders from southeast to northwest, with three important transportation hubs along the way: Liushuquan Interchange, Shazaoquan Interchange, and Sandaoling Interchange, injecting new vitality into the regional transportation network. Meanwhile, this section of the project also passes through the beautiful Liushuquan Tuanchang and Sandaoling Town, bringing unprecedented opportunities for the local economic and social development.

The Three Public Works Bureau will spare no effort in promoting the construction of this project with a high sense of responsibility and mission, ensuring the quality and safety of the project, and contributing its own strength to the transportation development of Hami and even the entire region.

As an important transportation artery under the national the Belt and Road initiative, G30 Lianyungang Huozhou Expressway bears the role of bridge and link between Xinjiang and inland provinces and cities. It is not only the key channel for Xinjiang's foreign exchanges, but also the core throat section of the corridor framework network in the Silk Road Economic Belt. Its strategic position is self-evident, and it plays a crucial role in strengthening domestic and foreign economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchange, and promoting the development of the regions along the route.

The completion and opening of this project will greatly enhance the traffic capacity of the middle passage of the entering and exiting highways in Xinjiang, allowing the originally busy transportation routes to be expanded exponentially, effectively alleviating traffic pressure and improving transportation efficiency. At the same time, it will also become a powerful engine to promote coordinated regional economic development, assist in the integration of military and land, further shorten the spatial and temporal distance between Xinjiang and the mainland, and provide solid transportation support for the construction of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt.Editor/Cheng Liting
