With the increasing attention and investment of the country in clean energy, the offshore wind power industry in Hebei is flourishing. Recently, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province has officially approved and approved the Shanhaiguan Offshore Wind Power Phase I 500MW Affordable Demonstration Project, with a total investment of 6.238 billion yuan.

Project Overview

Project location: The offshore wind farm is located in the provincial administered sea area at the border of Shanhaiguan District and the Liaoning Hebei boundary. It borders Shanhaiguan Port Area to the north and extends southward to the border area between Hebei Province's provincial administered sea area and national administered sea area. The eastern side is bounded by the boundary of the Liaoning Hebei sea area, and the western side is adjacent to the eastern anchorage of Qinhuangdao Port. The onshore centralized control center is located at the convex embankment on the south side of Shanhaiguan Port Area, specifically in the southeast corner of Shanhaiguan Shipyard. After the submarine cable lands, it will be connected to the onshore control center through Dongshugang Road and planned roads, and then connected to Mengjiang Substation along Zhejiang Road and high-voltage corridor to ensure stable transmission and efficient management of wind power.

Construction content and scale: The project plans to build an offshore wind farm with a total installed capacity of 500MW, and simultaneously build an onshore centralized control center. The wind farm will install wind turbines, including 56 units of 8.5 MW and 3 units of 8 MW, with an expected annual power generation of an astonishing 1557.21 million kilowatt hours. At the same time, a 220kV offshore booster station with a building area of 1534 square meters will be constructed, and a total of 106.9 kilometers of offshore 35kV cables and 11.8 kilometers of 220kV cables will be laid. To ensure the stable transmission and efficient management of wind power, the project will also construct an onshore centralized control center, along with approximately 4 kilometers of landing points to the centralized control center transmission line, as well as approximately 6 kilometers of overhead transmission lines from the centralized control center to the 220 kV Mengjiang substation of the power grid, using 1 circuit 2 x LGJ-400 conductors.

The 500MW offshore wind farm and onshore centralized control center project not only promotes the rapid development of clean energy, reduces carbon emissions, but also promotes local economic growth, improves energy structure, and enhances energy security. At the same time, the implementation of the project helps to improve environmental quality, protect ecosystems, and promote innovation and industrial upgrading of wind power technology.Editor/Zhang Liyuan
