Vale Corporation is a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Brazil and a Brazilian mining giant. In 1973, Vale began exporting iron ore to China, and 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of Vale's exports to China.

Since 2006, China has always been the largest market for Vale. In 2021, the Chinese market accounted for 52.5% of Vale's net revenue.

Vale not only sells iron ore to Chinese customers, but also purchases equipment and services in mining, infrastructure, logistics and other fields from Chinese manufacturers, deepening its ties with Chinese manufacturing.

2023 marks the 50th anniversary of Vale's exports to China. Biscalci stated that Vale is a witness and beneficiary of China's reform and opening up.

Louis Eduardo, Global Vice President of Vale in Brazil, said that China's investment in clean energy and infrastructure projects has improved the living conditions of people in Latin American countries.
