In the vast territory of China, the uneven distribution of water resources has always been a major problem affecting national development and the improvement of people's livelihood. In order to alleviate the shortage of water resources in the north, the South-North Water Diversion Project came into being. As the first project of the follow-up project of the South-to-North Water Diversion project, the Yangtze River Replenishment Project not only carries the mission of connecting the water source and the north, but also is a key link in the strategic layout of the national water network. This 194.7 km long water conservancy artery cleverly connects the Three Gorges and Danjiangkou, two important nodes of the national water network.

Staff members proudly introduced that the project has closely connected the country's two largest reservoirs, the Three Gorges Reservoir and the Danjiangkou Reservoir, to form a huge water resource regulation system. The system has an adjustable storage capacity of about 50 billion cubic meters, which is equivalent to a huge "water bank", providing a more stable and reliable water security for the northern region.

The completion of the project will bring about a significant increase in the scale of water transfer along the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. From the original 9.5 billion cubic meters, the figure will jump to 11.51 billion cubic meters. This means that through the Yangtze River replenishment project, the northern region will be able to obtain more water resources and meet the domestic water needs of more residents. It is estimated that this increase will be enough to guarantee the total amount of domestic water for more than 33 million households in the north for a year, bringing the source of life to this vast land.

The project of supplementing Han River is not only a water conservancy project, but also an ecological project. It can not only solve the problem of water shortage in the northern region, but also improve the ecological environment and promote ecological balance. With the advancement of the project, the ecological environment in the northern region will be effectively improved to provide a more livable living environment for local residents.

In addition, the project is also of great significance for promoting regional economic development. It will drive economic growth in the regions along the route and create more jobs and development opportunities for local people. At the same time, the project will also promote economic exchanges and cooperation between the south and the north, and promote the sustainable development of the country's overall economy. Key words: infrastructure, infrastructure construction, planning investment

The project of river diversion and Han replenishment is a shining pearl in the follow-up project of South-to-North Water diversion. It not only connects the Three Gorges and Danjiangkou reservoirs, but also connects the water resources and economic development between the south and the north. With the completion and operation of this project, we will witness a more prosperous and harmonious future. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
