Recently, at the construction site of Fuhai's annual production of 1.5 million tons of polyester packaging materials project in Hekou District, Dongying City, various types of machinery were operating nervously, presenting a lively construction scene everywhere.

It is understood that the total investment of this project is about 6.92 billion yuan, covering an area of 1019 acres, and mainly constructing 5 × 300000 tons/year polymerization plant, 18 sheet production lines, 86000 tons of waste bottle and sheet cleaning equipment, and supporting public and auxiliary engineering facilities. The project will start construction in 2023, and by 2025, it will reach production capacity and efficiency. It can achieve an annual output value of 11 billion yuan, annual profits and taxes of 2 billion yuan, and create more than 900 new employment positions. At present, the pile foundation engineering of Warehouse 1 and Warehouse 2 has been completed and the pile cap construction is underway. The polyester building and other individual buildings are undergoing pile foundation construction, as well as wall construction.

The project adopts globally leading polyester two pot tackifier and direct melting technology, innovatively integrating multiple sectors such as polyester synthesis, sheet processing, and waste bottle sheet recycling. Compared with conventional processes, the energy consumption of bottle sheet and sheet production after completion and production is reduced by more than 30% and 80%, respectively. Green and environmentally friendly production is achieved through energy conservation, consumption reduction, and waste recycling. The product design is based on high-end, achieving low-cost in scale, and high-end manufacturing in functionality. It mainly produces cold resistant sheets and functional polyester bottle sheets with good toughness, high viscosity, and strength, which can be widely used in various fields such as beverage, food, drug packaging, and can obtain international certifications such as FDA, GRS, OBP, etc. The product competitiveness ranks among the top in the same industry worldwide.

The project has a large investment scale, high technological level, great market potential, and broad development prospects. It will take the lead in connecting the entire industrial chain of "crude oil naphtha PX PTA functional polyester materials" in the province, which is of great significance for optimizing the industrial structure, converting new and old driving forces, and driving the development of the park. By leveraging the agglomeration and radiation driving effect of the project, it can further drive the development of downstream packaging industry clusters in the region, forming an industrial chain with rich product types, high-end levels, upstream and downstream coordination, and integrated development, striving to make positive contributions to the high-quality development of the entire region's economy and society.
