On September 15, 2023, according to a reporter from Jiandao Network, the opening ceremony of the Xuyang Group Hohhot Park's annual production of 300000 tons of carbon based new materials and modern chemical new materials research and operation center was held in the Qingshuihe Industrial Park. The commencement of construction of this project is a specific action taken by Hohhot City to implement the important requirements of expanding and strengthening the national important energy base.

The project under construction this time is one of 12 expansion and chain extension projects with a total investment of 31.5 billion yuan, jointly planned and constructed by Xuyang Group and the Hohhot Municipal Government.
