Recently, the Development and Reform Bureau of Dongtou District, Wenzhou City issued a reply on the approval of the Dongtou 2 offshore wind power project. The total investment of this project is 2.96 billion yuan, and it is developed and constructed by Wenzhou Dongtou Yunhai Wind Power Generation Co., Ltd.

The Dongtou 2 offshore wind power project is planned to be built in the southeast sea area of Dongtou District, Wenzhou City. The center of the wind farm is about 47km offshore, and the site is quadrilateral, with a length of about 12.5km from east to west and a width of about 2.2km from north to south. The total land area of the project is about 145100 square meters, and the sea area is about 2.065205 million square meters.

The project plans to build an offshore wind power project with a total installed capacity of 200MW, with one 220kV offshore substation and one onshore centralized control center. The power generated by the wind farm is collected at 35kV and sent to the offshore substation. After boosting to 220kV, it is sent to the 220kV onshore control center through a 220kV submarine cable, and then to the system station through a 220kV line. The specific connection plan of the line is subject to the review and approval of relevant departments.

As a type of renewable energy, offshore wind power has the characteristics of zero emissions, no pollution, and is environmentally friendly. The construction of the Dongtou 2 offshore wind power project is of great significance for promoting energy structure transformation, addressing climate change, promoting marine economic development, and enhancing international competitiveness.
