On February 19, 2024, China Power International and Trina Solar, two major clean energy giants, worked together to successfully complete the delivery of controlling rights for the 69.3MWp floating photovoltaic project under construction located in Sarawak, Malaysia. This marks a new and important achievement in the close cooperation between the two countries in the field of renewable energy. This equity delivery not only highly recognizes the technological strength and market competitiveness of China Power International and Trina Solar, but also injects new vitality into the development of clean energy in Sarawak, Malaysia.

The project is located within the Batang Ai Hydropower Station Reservoir in Sarawak Oblast. With its unique geographical location and resource advantages, it is expected to make significant contributions to local energy supply and environmental protection. The project has signed a fixed price electricity purchase agreement with a subsidiary of Sarawak Electric Energy Limited for a period of 30 years, ensuring the long-term economic feasibility and stability of the project. Since the start of construction at the end of January 2024, the project has progressed smoothly and is expected to be officially put into operation by the end of October of the same year. This schedule not only reflects the efficiency and professional competence of the project team, but also foreshadows new development opportunities in Malaysia's clean energy sector. This project utilizes advanced floating photovoltaic technology, combined with local hydropower resources, to create a comprehensive energy system that integrates efficiency and environmental protection. This not only helps to improve the reliability of energy supply and the proportion of clean energy in Sarawak state, but also injects new vitality into local economic development and environmental protection. For China Electric International, the successful delivery of this project is not only a strong proof of its technical strength and market development ability, but also a solid step taken by the group company in actively exploring the Southeast Asian market. This move will further consolidate and enhance the influence and position of China Power International in the clean energy field in Southeast Asia and even globally.
