Recently, Shangrao Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jiangxi Province held a grand signing ceremony for major projects. This signing event attracted a total of 19 major projects with a total investment of over 36.6 billion yuan. Among them, two billion yuan photovoltaic projects became the highlights of the signing, namely the 10.8 billion yuan annual production of 24GW ultra efficient new solar cell project and the 10 billion yuan annual production of 200000 tons of photovoltaic ribbon project.

This batch of signed projects plays a crucial role in further strengthening, optimizing, and expanding the modern industrial cluster in Shangrao City, and accelerating the development of new quality productivity. They will provide new strong impetus for the construction of a strong manufacturing city in Shangrao, and help the local economy achieve leapfrog development.

This centralized signing activity is also one of the specific measures to comprehensively promote the action plan for the 10 million project. According to the action plan, from 2024 to 2026, Jiangxi Province will roll forward about 100 demonstration and leading major projects in ten major fields, including comprehensive transportation, energy, water conservancy, new infrastructure, urban infrastructure, manufacturing, modern service industry, modern agriculture, public services, and ecological protection, and implement about 1000 major projects with an investment of over 1 billion yuan. Major projects in the province strive to complete an annual investment of 1 trillion yuan to promote high-quality economic development in Jiangxi Province.

As a key supported photovoltaic industry cluster in Jiangxi Province, Shangrao has attracted multiple billion dollar projects to take root here in recent years. This includes a 30GW photovoltaic module and supporting project worth over 13.5 billion yuan, a smart factory project with an annual production capacity of 22GW chips, 14GW high-efficiency battery cells, and 14GW high-efficiency module with a total investment of about 15 billion yuan, as well as a 24GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module and 100000 tons of photovoltaic module aluminum profile project worth 10.8 billion yuan. The successful implementation of these projects has injected strong impetus into the development of the photovoltaic industry in Shangrao City.

At present, Shangrao Economic Development Zone has attracted 44 photovoltaic enterprises of various types, and the industrial supporting facilities are gradually improving, forming a fully integrated industrial chain from silicon materials to silicon wafers, battery cells, modules, auxiliary materials, and then to photovoltaic power stations. With the completion of these two billion dollar projects, the photovoltaic industry in Shangrao City will usher in new development opportunities and inject new vitality into the local economic and social development. At the same time, these projects will also set a new benchmark for the development of the photovoltaic industry in Shangrao City and even the entire Jiangxi Province, promoting the industry to move towards a higher level.
