On February 27, 2024, Current Energy, as the world's leading developer and owner of solar and energy storage power stations, its parent company recently successfully raised RMB 367 million in non recourse project financing for the 119 MW Horus photovoltaic power station project in the Aguascalientes region of Mexico.
The financing for this project is jointly provided by the official export credit agency of South Korea, Export Import Bank of Korea, and KEB Hana Bank, one of the largest banks in South Korea, with a total amount of RMB 367 million. Among them, KEXIM Bank provided RMB 309 million, and KEB Hana Bank provided the remaining financing of approximately RMB 57.58 million.
In the third phase of renewable energy bidding in Mexico, the Horus project was successfully awarded the bid and received an electricity purchase agreement. According to the agreement, the project will sell 75% of its generated clean electricity for a period of 15 years and obtain a clean energy certificate for a period of 20 years. The remaining 25% of the project's electricity will be sold on the spot market. The Horus project was completed and put into commercial operation in March 2023.
