Chinese enterprises undertake the construction of Nigeria's light rail project

The first phase of the Lagos Light Rail Red Line project in Nigeria was opened to traffic on March 4, 2024. The project was constructed by a Chinese company and adopted Chinese standards throughout the entire line. Meanwhile, the second phase of the Red Line project was also signed on the same day. Nigerian President Bola Tenub personally attended the ceremony and experienced the light rail train.

Tinub said in his speech that this day is a day to record the history of Nigeria's infrastructure construction, especially Lagos, which is realizing its dream of becoming a big city.
