In May 2018, the Chinese government's aid to Jilin irrigation system renovation project was officially launched. This project is undertaken by China Railway Fifth Bureau Overseas Engineering Company, with the aim of constructing, repairing, and expanding agricultural irrigation channels and their ancillary structures.
