Recently, Shaanxi Investment Group invested in the construction of the first photovoltaic power generation project in southern Xinjiang - hydropower shares Kashgar area of Maigeti County 500,000-kilowatt photovoltaic sand control power generation project successfully started.

It is understood that the project is located in the western edge of the Taklimakan Desert, the power station consists of 500,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power stations, 50,000 kilowatts / 100,000 kilowatt-hours of energy storage system and a 220 kilovolt booster station. The project carries out ecological sand control through the combination of photovoltaic module laying and grass grid laying, and strives to build a demonstration platform for industrial technology innovation, low-carbon cycle and efficient ecological agriculture, providing effective support for the integrated development of the "photovoltaic +" industry. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will be of great significance to promoting economic and social development as well as energy conservation and emission reduction in southern Xinjiang.
