Recently, with the improvement and implementation of various construction conditions, the Jinan Yellow River Qilu Bridge has fully resumed construction. Currently, more than 500 people have entered the site. The main pier on the south side of the G35 Jiguang Expressway overpass was drilled on March 8th and pile foundation construction is underway. At the same time, the construction of the lower structures such as the Jiguang Expressway overpass, the Meili North Road viaduct, and the north-south approach bridge of the Yellow River Bridge is being comprehensively promoted. According to the construction plan, the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024 and has the conditions for opening to traffic.
The Jinan Yellow River Qilu Bridge is located in Huaiyin District and Tianqiao District of Jinan City. The route starts from the intersection of Qilu Avenue and Jiqi Road in the south, connects to the current Qilu Avenue, crosses Meili Road, North Taiping North Road, and Jiguang Expressway in sequence, passes through the east of Zhengjiadian Village, crosses the Yellow River, and ends at the intersection of G309. The total length of the project is 6742 meters. It is built according to the standard of two-way eight lane first-class highway, taking into account the function of urban trunk roads, with a design speed of 60 km/h. The main bridge range is a bridge built jointly by public and rail, and urban rail transit space is reserved in the middle. The main bridge adopts a mesh suspension rod tied arch bridge, with a main span of 420 meters. After the project is completed, it will become the world's largest span of similar bridge types.
In the early stage, the project has completed the construction of the main structure of the cross Yellow River main bridge. According to the arrangement and deployment of the "Project Deepening Year", various units have strengthened element guarantee and coordinated efforts, actively promoting land acquisition and demolition, high-voltage line relocation, and land procedure handling. With the strong support of the Heavy Protection Detachment of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Huaiyin District Government, and the Huaiyin Heavy Protection Special Team, the project has successfully promoted the relocation and renovation of the 220kV Shaoqing and Shaomei lines, completed the work of power outage connection and conversion between new and old lines, as well as the demolition of the old village site in Meili Village. At the same time, the Construction Group actively and proactively contacted the natural resources departments at the provincial, municipal, and district levels, obtained project land approval, and sounded the charge for resuming work.
After the completion of the project, it will become a north-south traffic artery connecting Jinan West Station on the south bank and the center of the Sangzidian area on the north bank, greatly improving the road traffic conditions of Jinan City, providing a convenient, comfortable, and safe transportation environment for the rapid and coordinated development of Jinan City, and effectively promoting the sustainable development of Jinan's social and economic development.
